Today, it has evolved into a flexible internet slang term used to describe anything chaotic, funny, or absurd—sometimes as praise, sometimes as playful mockery. Embraced especially by Gen Alpha, skibidi captures the fast, surreal humor of short-form video culture and was even added to the Cambridge Dictionary in 2025, cementing its mainstream status.
